Encaustic Paintings 2011 – present

The encaustic paintings use small and large panels, and colored sheets of paper and wood. The work combines refined lyricism with urban funkiness, presenting paintings that have texture, depth of colors, and different surfaces. The intent is to show change and flux when urban environments experience loss and rebirth. Paintings invoke billboard remnants, architectural fragments, and the way natural forces interact with new and ancient urban environments.
